When trying to send a message to buyers, I keep getting “Send message error. Please try again.” It then has a link for “Read more” however that comes up blank. I have tried messaging both on the mobile app and on a desktop in a web browser. The issue is exactly the same in both.

What navigation path are you using? Example: contact buyer from order details, contact buyer from their feedback page, etc.

Is it happening with all buyers or just one buyer in particular? Did you check that buyer's feedback page to see if they are still registered?

Is it only your buyers, or is it any eBay user?

I was able to send and receive several messages in the past few minutes. Messaging seems to be working well so we'll need to diagnose where your problem is stemming. Answer those questions above and we'll take it from there.

I have been trying to message them from their order page by selecting Message Buyer. Buyer is still registered. I tried messaging another buyer the same way and had the same issue.

Are you able to message them from their profile/feedback page instead of the order page?

It did finally let me send that way (from their profile), but only from the desktop browser.

Ok use that for now. You probably need it with your personalized items.

I also suggest filing a tech report. Do it from both web and app since problem is on both that way eBay can see details like your browser and app version both.

Through the app:

1. Shake to report. Physically shake your device while the app is open and that will trigger the option for you to file a tech report or submit feedback on product features.

2. Anywhere you see the three dots or the ? you can tap on that to file a report. Screenshot below.

On the web:

Click the ? icon on the bottom right corner of almost any eBay page and that will also trigger the option to file a tech report, submit feedback to eBay, and more. Screenshots here.
