Errors in bulk listings

Experiencing errors while bulk listings and trying to edit in bulk? when trying to save,  it says that I have errors that need to be fixed but there are no errors showing and then it kicks me out.   I am having to edit and submit individually.  error.jpg

Errors in bulk listings

tried the file exchange, does not show any errors.   just FYI, i have been on ebay since 1999 and know what to do if there are errors. in this case, it said i had errors and will not let me fix them and the "fix errors" button does not show up. individually, there is no issue.  this is some sort of bug.  can u replicate a few of my listings in test and then change an item  and try to launch? this should show u the exact issue.

@tvyps

Give me an item number to duplicate. Technically, I have to list in the "test" category, but I'll see if I can wing it in a real category without a takedown. Do you want me to create a scheduled listing and then try to launch it?

hi. here are three. i am only using "scheduled listings" and you will have to schedule them, move them there and then try to launch them 2 or 3 at a time by changing the scheduled date to list "now." You will replicate the error.   i used to work with programmers so i know about test programs.  264072147427   264072136025  264073470715

if you want, you can just go to my scheduled listings and try it from there.  i am not worried about you listing them bc it will not let you.   if something does happen, just let me know so i can correct it.

thank you for helping! teri

I can not see or access your scheduled listings, so I copied two of your newest listings and added placeholder photos so that I could save them to schedule. You mentioned you created your listings as scheduled and then tried to bulk revise to add photos. Did you have placeholder images initially?

When I used bulk edit to add more photos ( https://bulksell.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BEAR ), the revision was accepted, so obiously I'm not creating the same scenario.  I did not attempt to bulk edit the scheduling. Did you bulk edit the scheduling before your error?

i think u have solved this issue. on the way back machine, i had fixed all non-compliant listings using the bulk editor and now when using the individual checker, it appears that more links are appearing as non-compliant on scheduled listings only.  for some reason, it is allowing me to relist endlessly with this issue but for newly scheduled items, it is not. i guess it is ebay's way of not ending all listings at once which would bring down a lot of sellers.  i will continue to schedule them and fix links as i go and eventually, it should resolve itself.  thank u for your time and i am happy that u r so quick in responses Have a merry Christmas. Yes, I did bulk edit b4 listing. At the suggestion of beserkplanet, I started testing individual scheduled listings for non-compliant links and there are newly id'd ones so apparentaly, ebay flipped a switch and is not allowing those links when u schedule in bulk but in delisting, it is allowing them. It would be catastrophic to many sellers to make changes in relisting, one at a time so i guess the change was not implemented across the board. I can eliminate the problem eventually on all listings, given that I am ok relisting. Thank u for your time, you have been most helpful!

hi. go to each listing above the text box and check for non-compliant links. it will autocorrect them if you click for them to be corrected.  you have to do this one at a time, however.

>> i think u have solved this issue.

I was doing a lot of guessing there 🙂

As I mentioned and you summarized, it looks like eBay is still taking a slow approach to getting everything to comply with their security and content roadmap. We have seen over the last year or so that it wasn't an all or none thing - certain tools for certain sellers would complain about active content, live links, non-eBay links, etc, IIRC, sometimes just warnings and other times flat refusal to list (I ran into it a couple of times a while back using the advanced listing form to test just that, where it refused to accept the revisions.)

It looks like the bulk editor may have yet another shortcoming in that it just throws a non-specific error for this problem (as opposed to the very specific error recall the Advanced listing form threw when I tested back then)

You are most welcome.

I'm not always on the boards, and tend to mostly sort of lurk, but when I see something like this where I have some ideas and nobody else is jumping in with anything concrete, I engage, start testing in some cases, and begin throwing things against the wall until we either figure it out, determine it's hopeless, refer it to someone like shipscript with expertise on the subject, or determine it actually is probably a bug, and compartmentalize it enough to call an eBay blue in.

You have a Merry Christmas too.

it worked for a day or 2, now i am back to where I was at, having to edit one at a time for scheduled listings or getting the non-existant "error" again.  On all of these, i have corected all the errors in the mobile friendly selection, including links, etc. and i am still getting this error ...teri<-----------perplexed.
