For what it's worth, I usually take those messages at face value. Take a break and try again later. Good luck.

When encountering an error while trying to list an item on eBay, the issue could be temporary or related to your account or browser settings. Here’s a comprehensive guide to resolve it:
1. Switch Browsers or Devices
Switching browsers is often the easiest solution. If the issue persists:
- Try a different browser like Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
- Switch devices, such as from a desktop to a mobile phone.
- Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.
2. Check for Ad Blockers or Cookie Issues
- Disable Ad Blockers: Ad blockers can interfere with eBay's functionality. Temporarily disable them for eBay or use a browser without extensions.
- Enable Cookies: eBay requires cookies to function correctly.
- Go to Settings > Privacy and Security.
- Ensure cookies are enabled for all sites or specifically for eBay.
3. Confirm Account Setup
If this is your first listing or a new account, ensure everything is fully set up:
- Confirm Payment Method: Add a valid payment method for fees.
- Verify Addresses: Check and confirm your shipping and billing addresses under Account Settings > Addresses.
- Complete Verification: eBay may require identity or tax verification, especially for selling.
4. Clear Cache and Cookies
Clear your browser’s cache and cookies to ensure no old data is causing interference:
- Close and reopen the browser or app after clearing.
5. Simplify the Listing
Sometimes, overly complex listing details can cause errors:
- Remove special characters or emojis in the title or description.
- Reduce the number of images or file sizes for uploads.
6. Check eBay’s System Status
eBay might be experiencing technical difficulties. Check the eBay System Status Page to see if there are reported outages.
7. Retry Later
If the issue is due to eBay’s temporary system error, it may resolve itself in a few hours. Save your listing details to avoid losing progress and try again later.
8. Contact eBay Support
If none of the above resolves the issue, reach out to eBay for help:
- Visit eBay Help and Contact.
- Select "Selling" > "Listing an item" > "Technical Issue" to access live chat or phone support.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve most listing issues quickly. Let me know if you need additional guidance!
