I've noticed lately that the resolution of the images on most listings has dropped dramatically. Normally, I will just zoom in on the image, right click the image and then click "Open image in new tab" (in Firefox). This would normally result in a URL that ends in s-l1600.jpg, and it would show a 1600x1200 pixel version of the seller's photo. Lately though, doing this has been sending me to a URL that ends in s-l960.jpg which, unsurprisingly, results in a much smaller and lower resolution 960x720 image.
On the mobile app the images are sometimes clearer, so on desktop I just tried replacing s-l960.jpg with s-l1600.jpg, and sure enough, the larger image was displayed.
It also seems like a lot of listings that are advertised on the main ebay page do NOT have this issue and will show full size 1600x1200 images, so it is not a universal thing that all listings show 960x720 images on desktop.
So, can we just go back to **ALL** listings on the desktop browser getting full size 1600x1200 images please?
I have also tested this in two desktop web browsers (Firefox and Chrome) as well as doing it while signed in or not signed in. There is no difference in any case, and if a listing shows 960x720 images by default I can always manually type in s-l1600.jpg into the URL to get the full 1600x1200 image.

Possibly relevant workaround for image size adjustment:

Sorry, but did you notice that the wording is exactly the same as my post and both posts were created on the same day? 🙂
Anyway, thank you for the reply. Even with a workaround (which I'm obviously doing, but most people won't bother with), this still needs to be addressed by ebay.

When I saw your original post here I thought the wording sounded familiar, but a search of the community forum turned up no other posts on the subject, and I did not recall where I had seen it before. I eventually stumbled upon the post on Reddit a second time.
Other folks that find your posting here might also be interested in your workaround while waiting for eBay to fix things.
