Ebay report paypal ban

You're gonna have to read for a while to understand, so if you do not have time, this is your heads-up. It's a crazy, weird, disheartening set of issues that took a while to write, so it's surely going to take a while to read.

My account has been active for just a little over a year and, My account exploded with popularity and has sold over 5000 items at a little over 1000 transactions... I have a 99.6% score, as I have had a few disgruntled customers...

At my one-year mark about a week or so ago eBay generated a report of my progress and how I'm doing. This report included statistics such as my returns %. It said that my returns are abnormally high and if I didn't fix them I would be assessed a 4% additional seller fee starting October 1st in an email I got. So I reviewed the returns it was referencing, and was completely apalled at most of the ones listed!!

Out of 19 total returns ever, 8 of these were specifically instances where people were attacking me or extorting me. About 5 were people with remorse that I accepted return and explained I could have denied return, but for a $2.00 sale during xmas time, I felt the holiday cheer and just refunded letting buyer keep item. However, Let me give you a few examples of the attackers:

1. A buyer requested a return for reason: ( item is not authentic or it is fake)  in the body of the message for the return they said: This item is not profitable for me to resell, I want you to send me more material so I can make money or send me a refund with this so I can make money off it or I'll leave you negative feedback.

2. Reason: Not Authentic

Body text: I don't like the size of the item, I want more material, and I want it free or I will write a bad review of you.

3. Reason: Not Authentic

Body Text: I really like this item, but I did not buy enough, please send me more so I can finish my project. I don't want to leave bad feedback. I expected to get what I needed.

Now, that's paraphrasing, and only a small portion of the 8 knock off claims direted at extorting me... the issue is this, CLEARLY those are extortion, and abuse of the eBay returns. I was found in favor each time. One guy opened 5 returns same deal as above, and I again was found in favor.... it clearly states that these won't be used against me.... but these are included on my evaluation!!!!!????

Paypal has banned me because, on their end, they show that I have 48 total return instances of non authentic merchandise being sold, and 48 cases against me..... to clear this up, I have NEVER sold fake items, nor was found guilty of it. The buyers didn't want to return items, they clearly abused the system, and this automatic report told paypal that I am a scammer.... paypal says: This has nothing to do with eBay, you're too high risk... when I just sold $2,200 worth of 14k gold jewelry... my funds siezed, my paypal account banned, and when I call them, I get some goofy department that tells me that, they want to hang my picture up to laugh at on lunch, I must be a fatty, I should try selling more stolen fake items, they may be interested in a date with maybe a goodnight kiss included, I am a jerk, it's my fault, they do not support scammers, etc. (AKA the goofy counter-defense/offenss dept)

I tried to talk to eBay, after 4 days and countless.... unhelpful rude representatives, I finally get a senior management account fraud specialist who confirms the error in communication, and an additional flagged error for suspicious sale..... but apologizes that nothing can be done. Simply because, Even though I was attacked, the system is set to report all returns ever opened, no matter who is at fault, even if wrong, send all #'s to paypal, without explanations.. I was told perhaps I should use a different payment method, or try etsy......

I sign up for a merchant account, and now eBay says: 100% you're account is fine, we like your business, but you are not going to be able to use any methods of recieving payments, you'll not be allowed to print shipping labels, and your shipping label refunds cannot be refunded to you any longer, and you will not be allowed to list items moving forward....

Additionally, I have an open investigation with usps about thousands of dollars of my products coming up "misplaced" and "unscanned" or rather should I say tracking infornation was deleted..

It appears my $2,200 value gold sale which my funds are siezed on, has become stolen by usps, (yes I did buy insurance), but paypal will not allow me to refund buyer, and instead the money will be withdrawn from my bank.....

I literally have my life savings invested, which included a settlement from a lawsuit my family won vs a company who poisoned us..... I have almost $350k in assets tied up in this business, and over $2500 in funds siezed, $800+ in items sold to buyers who cannot pay for, and an inbox full of repeat customers wondering why I'm banned from participating, considering buying from my competition....

An eBay rep instructed me on selling an item that I later found out was against policy.... literally just found out today, have not been reprimanded for it yet, but literally was walked through listing this item, was told where, how, and when to list it by a rep.... and I'm worried I'll get more infractions as a result of all these issues, because the goofiness is growing daily.

If banning me was going to happen at a % margin of sales returned, SURELY this revocation of my ability to perform will result in those numbers being realized when I cannot ship my items, print labels, refund payments, or process payments.....

Also, paypal cites that if I request a refund, I get dinged because ebay considers it a negative against me if I send an item back...... so they suggest 48 times have I violated terms of use, where at least 10 times items I bought NEVER showed up. 10+ sellers banned later on, that I bought items from, and all these issues are being held against me as violating terms of use?????? Why am I at fault for my item not being shipped to me????

Last December, I sold 3 iPhones, ebay's system had an error and thought I sold $15,000 worth of iphones in one day... this resulted in suspension, paypal ban, funds frozen, and authorities being called on me...... 45 days later.... eBay apologizes for the error, promises to fix, reinstates everything, wipes my issues away, and life goes on..... this same instance is happening again with my gold I sold too......

WHEN WILL THESE ISSUES BE SORTED OUT????

Please can anyone with time to read this help me, I am suffering losses beyond expectations here, and am close to being put out of business by technical faults.....

I take care of people with medical concerns, and all of our money is being wrongfully held by paypal as a result.... my fiancee has severe epilepsy and only 1 week of medication left.... I am getting scared here.....

This is very weird. Out of 30,000 shipments over the last 20 years, many of them shipments of multiple items in the same package, I have never had a package go missing. A couple disappeared temporarily but as soon as I contacted USPS and put a trace on them, they located them and sent them the last leg.

Are you putting something on the outside of the package, or wrapping it in some way, so that people can guess what is inside?

Are you aware that eBay's shipping labels will put the eBay item number on the label unless you direct it otherwise? This would allow someone to look up what was in the package, which is NOT something you want if you are selling jewelry.

I wrap things as simply and humbly and inconspicuously as possible and so far, no missing packages, no missing scans. Excellent service from USPS for two decades.

You are a drop shipper listing items for 1 or more distributors. I would tend to believe the large amount of buyer complaints that the quality is not worth the money buyers are paying. You could try lowering your prices to make the items more desirable and a better deal for the money they are paying. The best choice is drop the 1 or more  distributors you are using that are getting these returns from and find a better company to list for. Have you considered ordering the same items buyers have had issues with and having them sent to your house. Then you could look and see of the quality is indeed bad. You can not just jump to the conclusion that the buyer is trying to scam you especially if you do not have the actual item in your procession to verify the condition before listing and selling the item. It is very possible the buyers are being honest and the items you sell are just terrible. After all the company you work for does not want to list the items them self and chose to use others like you to pose as sellers and really you are just placing orders for buyers with a 10 to 15 percent mark up on the sale price.

Also your total number of returns would probably be the sum from adding the number ebay has had with the number paypal has had. The ebay returns were most likely from items received with in the 1st 30 days of purchase. The paypal returns are most likely from items received after 30 days and most likely came from Chinese distributors with long over seas handling time. Considering distributors like that have poor quality cheep nock off items I would tend to believe your buyers you should not have waited 1 year to look into these issues and should have been addressing them right off the bat and looked for better sources for items of better quality to avoid selling bad merchandise. That is another reason why those companies use sellers like you because if you take the bad returns and bad feed back over time you get kicked off and they move to the next seller and start with a blank slate and are not held accountable.
