If an order is large and needs to be shipped in more than 1 box, I purchase the first shipping label and then go to "get another label" to purchase the 2nd label. On my orders screen, I will see both tracking numbers displayed correctly immediately after purchasing them. However if you check this order a day or two later, it will no longer show both tracking numbers and it will instead show a longer tracking number almost as if the 2 tracking numbers have now been combined. Tracking updates will no longer be shown since the tracking number is now incorrect. This happens every time I have an order that needs to be shipped in multiple boxes. The Ebay platform seems to have a hard time keeping track of more than 1 tracking number for the same order. In one case after seeing 2 tracking numbers displayed correctly after purchasing them, it only took 5 minutes for the issue described above to occur. I have also had customers tell me that they only see 1 tracking number on their end, even though 2 tracking numbers were purchased for their order through the ebay platform. I believe this issue is also because of what I described above.

That's not at all what I'm seeing on multi-package shipments. Can you post a screenshot?

I will have to take pictures the next time it happens. I just took the time to manually edit/update all the tracking numbers so they are currently displayed correctly. Is there anything about my process that sounds different than what you do? I'm using the "Get another label" option in the drop-down for that order.

So not the exact issue I described in my original post but 1 of the tracking numbers already disappeared after about 15 minutes. 1st screenshot shows 2 tracking numbers right after purchasing them. 2nd screenshot shows that one of the tracking numbers is now gone.

It's supposed to show only the first number on the orders page. It's the tracking pop-up that shows all the tracking numbers affiliated with the transaction.
Click on the tracking number that shows @mixedbagcomics . You should see all tracking numbers in the pop-up.

Here is a different order for the same product where I'm still seeing the tracking correctly in the pop-up. It shows 2.

Yes, that last screenshot is what you should be seeing for multi-package orders.
On the one showing only one tracking number, am I correct to assume you did not void/cancel the second tracking number?

Definitely not. I walked away from the computer after I purchased them. When I came back 15 minutes later it only showed 1 tracking number. I have an issue every time. The other order I shared a screenshot of (the correct one) is ground advantage. The incorrect one was media mail. Thats the only difference between the 2 orders. I wouldn't think the type of postage would have anything to do with it though. I have an issue with every multi-package order so I suspect the ground advantage one will eventually have an issue as well. I am going to keep an eye on it. Followed the same process for both orders.

OK keep me posted on what happens with the Ground Adv package. In the meantime, click the ? icon on the bottom right of your orders page to file a tech report.

By some miracle that last ground advantage package worked out fine. The two tracking numbers were maintained and the package was delivered. However, here is another Ground Advantage package from about 1 hour ago. Take a look at the screenshots. At first, both tracking numbers show and then 1 hour later, there is only 1 number and this time the 1 tracking number that remains is distorted. The remaining tracking number now ends with 9434 which is really the 1st four numbers of the 2nd tracking number. The pop-up window also shows the same thing. The same exact process was used for this order as the last one that actually worked out fine.

In the tracking pop-up, click on the tracking number.
When it takes you to USPS.com is the tracking number correct (ending with 90302) or does it show the merged number with 9434 (the beginning of the second tracking number) tacked on the end as part of the first number?
