A buyer contacted me to say that a item he bought on 9/27, which I have here still waiting to go to post office, was delivered on 9/21 to some random address in a different state than his. I heard about this glitch from a youtube seller I follow but I can find no information on this glitch here or on ebay? I don't know if I can send this now and it has to be mailed today? Any info ebay?, on what to do? Thanks in advance.

Multiple threads have talked about this already. I have experienced this myself. Ebay is aware of the issue. If you have a concern about sending off the package contact Ebay through chat box and get a ticket number. The ticket number will at least you letting Ebay know of this situation with your package and they will advise you to probably ship off. If you were to ship it then basically you are shipping the package with no tracking number however will still be covered cause you actually paid for the label. In addition you will have to call back with the number so that way the mark on your seller level will get removed. Let the buyer know of the situation and that it is a technical glitch.

Thank you. I searched the message board and could find no threads about this. Also wasn't aware that ebay had a chat box anymore, I'll have to find that. I plan to ship it and I suppose that it will just never register with ebay that it was delivered because the tracking number isn't right. The buyer actually alerted me to this issue.

There are numerous posts on this issue and people have contacted eBay.
The best thing we can do on the forum is Thumbs up and consolidate findings on a main thread so the conversation isn't fractured, and so people are more likely to find the more definitive post.
This earlier thread has the most traction, so please thumbs up that post and stay tuned for updates.
Hopefully we'll get an eBay moderator to see that thread and give more information.
