Ebay has been very slow loading pages in the last two days 0 this is the only site,, other webpages load normally

I haven’t experienced that issue. 
Perhaps your eBay cookie is corrupted clear your browser history and cookies to see if that helps. Using a different browser may help as well.

my load time was cut by 1/2 to 2/3 when ad block of eBay is removed.

Seems something on one end or the other may be causing issues.

In the past, slow loading search results in particular have been associated with certain ad blocking filters.

Temporarily disabling your ad blocker can help you determine if this is happening. If that speeds things up, try disabling the following specific filters: the "Anti-circumvention filter" in Ad Block, or the "ABP filters" in Ad Block Plus.

Ad Block Plus has recently been associated with item-specifics and item descriptions not displaying correctly, so if you are using that particular ad blocker and are having problems, temporarily disabling that ad blocker or trying a different ad blocker might be in order.
