I have experienced late app notifications on multiple devices (galaxy s4, XZ1 compact, fire tablet - all flavors of android), oftentimes getting a warning that an auction ends in 14 minutes (oddly always exactly 14 for some reason, no matter what my settings are) and the auction actually either had less than 5 minutes left, or increasingly often had already ended (sometimes hours prior).
I've also gotten notifications AFTER I watched an auction count down to zero as the highest bidder, said notification telling me I was outbid and should raise my offer, and sure enough I find out I was outbid at some point.
That last one makes me think it's a problem with the app communicating with the site, but for the record my phone is new, has excellent coverage in my area, and reliable wifi. In addition, my old phone (galaxy s4) had terrible wifi problems but managed to be less frequently hours late like my new one (XZ1).
Either way, it means I can't possibly win any auction unless A) nobody else bids (in the final few minutes at least) or B) I just happen to be home at the time it ends, using the actual website on a computer. Frustrating, to say the least!
I know I'm not the first one to have this issue, and I've seen the other solutions offered but none seem to help; clearing cache, clearing data/signing back in, rebooting phone (this actually works for a few hours then they go back to being very late), uninstalling/reinstalling the app - none seem to make any difference.
Is there any other solution floating around, or am I doomed to never in my life win any auction without being at home, sitting at my desktop?
