I live in Athens, Greece and I bought an item from a seller in the US (Meris Enzo, a guitar effects pedal – eBay item number: 156051530462, Order date: Feb 18, 2024). I bought another guitar pedal from this seller last January [2024], so I am a repeat customer. Before bidding, I remember seeing that the item would ship through ebay’s International Shipping Program and I could see a quote for shipping to Greece but when I tried to pay for the item Ebay said the seller does not ship this item to Greece and asked that I either change my address or request a total from the seller. I asked the seller for a total but he said that he cannot calculate taxes, shipping etc. and that it was / is ebay’s responsibility to send me an invoice in order to pay. In fact both the seller and I agree that the item was sold through ebay’s International Shipping Program, yet ebay disagrees! I cannot go forward with my purchase and it is not my fault. Seller said that he will cancel after the passing of the 4-day no pay deadline. Can you help? I tried to explain the situation to the on line ebay assistant bot but it was futile. I cannot type fast enough or explain the situation in a more concise way.
