For the past two days my app on my iPhone will not log in. It keeps on spinning at the Face ID point, tries to log in, then reverts to trying over and over again. When I turn Face ID off it requests my username and password but when I enter them it’s says incorrect information and after just one attempt says you have exceeded your daily attempts please try tomorrow. How the hell is anyone supposed to buy from their phone if the app isn’t working. EBay have been messing with us for years but during these slow sales periods it’s just not acceptable. Is anyone else having this issue? I have asked a few people and they have the issue too.

Yes, the same thing started happening to me this morning, I called Ebay, they weren’t any help, I feel like a lost soul, my better half has the same accounts listed on her iPhone 13, which is the same as I have, and hers works, but my iPhone doesn’t

Are you certain you both have the same (latest) version of the eBay app?
If the problem is with a previous version not installing cleanly, it might be worth uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your phone, then installing the latest version again. The restart in between should ensure a clean install.

This worked for me! Changed password, uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled and now it’s up and running. Thanks for providing the missing link in the sequence.
