E-Bay Checkout Glitch?

I'm trying to pay for an item that the seller accepted my counteroffer for, but when I go to my cart and hit pay it's saying "This item is gone but there's more to see" So it's not letting me pay for it

After the seller accepts your offer or counteroffer, the item is still active and available for purchase by someone else, until you pay for it. It sounds like that is what happened.
