Heads up to eBay buyers and sellers having Paypal problems....
Turns out that some unexpected events can cause a PREVIOUSLY CONFIRMED and verified linked bank account, to become inoperable. This note will explain what happens, likely why, and how to fix it.
WHAT HAPPENS
Payments don't go thru and paypal issues "choose another payment method"
LIKELY WHY
Turns out a few different things that are completely of the control of the account user/owner, which can cause a Paypal to stop working properly for eBay payments and receipts of funds through Paypal system. For example, bank's system can send electronic codes to Paypal, which can invoke requirement to RE VERIFY an already verified account.
HOW TO FIX
DE LINK the external bank account, and then go ahead and RE LINK it. NOTE this will require you confirm two amounts Paypal will deposit into the bank account you want to link. For example 12 cents on date/date and 11 cents on date/date. You merely confirm the amount/date and BAM its reactivated and should work as normal. Payments incoming and outgoing go thru fast with immediate confirmation.
Kind of sucks that even long established bank accounts that never change have to be undone and redone, but sometimes its the only way to get your eBay Paypal running fast and smooth and stopping those pesky annoying error messages.
