DK List of Technical issues occouring while selling.

First off, Thank you for fixing the shipping option circus!

 

 

Issues i have:


I cannot choose currency without changing language; if i want EU i have to learn french or italian or german.
If i use USD i have english language but the fees are insane. USD/DKK is very unstable compared to DKK/EU.

Integrated shipping tracker not working with GLS-DK/DK. 

Intergrated shipping tracker not working with POSTNORD-DK/(All outside EU except USA)

You cannot send video in the chat function. major issue while explaining to buyers

 

Ebay.com not having a dark/black theme option.

 

Item description making is a enigma of confusion

 

Ebay supporters use too much time on  politeness phrases.

Ebay app very limited (IOS)

Online disputes are primarily handled by automated programs, not by "eBay supporters". If you are dealing with the "chat assistant", that is not a person but a bot. You can use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent (a real person, though possibly still reading from a script).

 

I understand that the eBay folks you can reach via social media have more authority to act than the customer service reps you can reach via chat or call back (in the US).

Thank you so much! I never considered Ireland. I did once ask ebay support about this and they told me to use either ebay.de or ebay.it. Stupidly i did not investigate it myself. 

 

The auto dark programs blacks out some of the features so they are almost hidden. 

 

My return case; buyer reports items not received.

I send him the tracking link and a copy of the shipping label (tracking shows delivered).

"The integrated ebay tracking is not working"

I try to contact him various times through messages and also via the request.

After a few days buyer reports the case to ebay and they force a refund 20 minutes after.

 

Like what the **bleep**. If it is a automated system as you suggested it sure is broken 😂

 

 

Anyway. Thank you for your help! I might save that 3% exchange fee and get to have stable prices. Yay! 😄

I did notice a similar problem when using the dark theme with the eBay app; certain text links were very hard to see against a non-contrasting background. In the case of the app there is an accessibility feature that provides a contrasting outline to many text links that makes the links more readable and visible. It is possible there may be a similar option using a desktop browser.

 

Rather than using a dark theme with a desktop, I have been using an add-on called "Color Changer" that allows background, text, and link colors to be specified for each site. I find using an 85% grey background is much easier on the eyes than stark white, though the add-on apparently conflicts with the display of some icon colors, notably the notification bell icon on the eBay community pages, and the occasional pop-up window requires temporarily disabling the add-on.

 

After a few days buyer reports the case to ebay and they force a refund 20 minutes after.

 

You should have been afforded an opportunity to provide tracking in your case defense before the buyer was refunded. You may still have the opportunity to appeal your case, though I have no experience with the details of how that process works; you may want to post on the Selling board to get advice from other sellers with experience in such situations.

I did make a appeal case and won. but i still think its something that should not be able to happen.

I just tried to transfer some listings to the Ebay.IE site. and wow, its like getting a new phone in 2005. EVERYTHING is manual and from scratch. and as a little surprise they have a entirely different shipping rate system.....

I started on Ebay 6 months ago. back then there was a different listing system. they also had a different shipping rate system. 
5 month ago they changed the listing system.

2 months ago they changed the shipping rate system on ebay.com.

And now i have to get used to and fill out a new shipping rate system from scratch for the 3. time in half a year...

 

it took me 1 week to fully optimize my Etsy page. After 6 months tweaking my Ebay i now have to start all over again -.- i will leave it. let the bank have their 3%
