Cross tracking popup warnings for stags.bluekai again

When I try to log in or leave feedback I get warnings that this 3rd party site is being sent my info. Sending my login info is obviously not acceptable. I use Firefox and NoScript addon. NoScript is set to pause redirects like that and ask me what to do. I tell it no for each variation of stags.bluekai and it adds that site to it's block list.

You can use the same addon if you are using Microsoft Edge and Chrome. Use the domain block choice instead of the longer specific block choice.

Pro-Script is free for those using Apple and Safari. It lets you set per site exceptions for Javascript redirects.

No one should be using Mac 10.9 anymore. I have a 12 year old MBP that uses 10.15 Catalina. I bought something today from eBay and had to block another improper request checking out. That is really not cool at all. eBay, your security team needs an upgrade.

The article is from a few years ago, hence the reference to 10.9 - but the idea still stands.

Catalina 10.15 is very outdated and you'll continue to experience issues like this if you don't update/upgrade. So you can either accept they'll happen and ignore them, or update your system. I get that's not always feasible due to expense, but tech these days is considered old after a year or two, let alone 12 years, so the issues will keep happening until/unless you're able to update.

I'm on Ventura 13.3 with my MBP and have noticed the majority of Mac-specific issues reported on this forum are from people using outdated OS.

As a point of reference, Catalina is from October 2019. Since then there have been 3 new OS: Big Sur 11, Monterey 12 and Ventura 13. There will be another new Mac OS this coming Fall, likely in October.

It's expensive to continue to support outdated systems and at some point companies have to weigh that expense over the small user base still using old tech.

Sorry I don't have a "quick fix" to offer.

I can't upgrade past Catalina, but don't use the MBPro for online purchases anyway. Apple doen't make it as easy to get script blockers as Linux and Windows do. I keep the Mac because of what it would cost to replace it and because I can hack the software to do things an official current MBP wouldn't allow.

I don't have a FB account anymore either. Too much lying and spying. There is no real privacy anymore, but I don't want to make it easy for someone to impersonate me and spend my money.
