Hello,
I had a buyer send me an offer of $297 for an item and asked for free shipping in the comments, I replied with a counter offer of $300 and let the buyer know that I unfortunately would not be able to do free shipping in the comments. When the buyer received the counter offer from me, it automatically advertised "free shipping" on the bottom of the offer. Has something changed with this?? I have had this exact same thing happen twice today with 2 different items. The buyers are very confused as am I.
The buyer of the other item accepted the offer with the understanding that it would have free shipping since it was advertised on their counter offer they received and I ended up having to cancel the order since this was not the case. Both buyers sent screen shots as well so I was able to confirm what they were seeing.

I wonder if this is another bug in one of the apps. There have been multiple instances where the apps have incorrectly shown free shipping.
Do the items have local pickup checked?

I've heard of strange things going on with OBOs all week. Both from offers sent from sellers to watchers/buyers, and from offers sent from buyers to sellers.
-This is the first I've heard of shipping costs changing, though.
I've heard of sellers sending offers (that had unchecked 'counteroffers allowed') that, indeed, received counteroffers to the seller's low price; I've heard of declined offers suddenly showing up as 'sold' at the original offer... to the surprise of sellers.
Out of fear of a bug, I've declined two offers this week and even blocked the buyers. Maybe we could have made an agreement... but I just didn't know. Curious to see what you find out!

A seller cannot change the shipping in an offer/counteroffer.......if the app doesn't have the verbiage, it should:

Have you got an even larger problem? The screen shot shows a counteroffer of $30, not $300. Hmmm...

@nicole.upscale.resale If the buyers are using apps instead of browsers, you may want to post in the appropriate app forums as well. Sometimes that gets the issues in front of the right teams faster.

Hi @nicole.upscale.resale, shipping should not be altered when an Offer / Counter Offer is sent. I've reported this to our tech team for review. Thanks for the details you've provided here!
