I recently made a purchase and I just so happened to message the seller after the fact to ask why the shipping would take so long, since we were relatively close, as well as a question about the item. She immediately responded back but informed me that my shipping address said Las Vegas when I’ve never even been there. Needless to say, we both became leery of one another, although she seemed and is quite legit. I checked my address in eBay and it was listed correctly. Not to mention, I had just made a purchase the week prior. She sent me a screen shot of what she saw on her transaction end, and it had some jibberish with symbols then c/o my name then more symbols between the entire address. It’s very odd to say the least and had I not reached out to her, my relatively expensive item would have been sent to Nevada when I’m on the East Coast. My account has not been hacked, my address was correct in eBay, and she was a legitimate seller. Now I’m concerned it may happen in the future.
