As of today (10 July 2023), there is no checkout with PayPal option. Is anyone else running into this issue?

Yes... I used Ebay checkout twice this morning and paid thru Paypal as I always do. Just went thru checkout and now my blue pay with Paypal button grey out and non working. Had to complete checkout by entering card data.... a card i will now cancel

@tuesdaypriest PayPal is currently showing disruptions to some services and when that happens, usually it will disappear as a payment option temporarily if eBay cannot connect to the PayPal API to process payments.

You'll need to use an alternate payment method or wait for the issue to be resolved - once eBay can connect to PayPal, you should see it showing as an available payment option again.

I'm not seeing pay by Paypal or Paypal Credit in the center of any Listing page... is this normal during the glitch you describe?  Seems the Paypal option has been removed by appearances

I used it at around 1pm PST and it worked. 

Temp glitch I'd say.

@6al-4v-96  yes it is normal, if PayPal has a technical problem on their side that makes it so eBay cannot connect to their systems to process payments, the PayPal options will just not be shown on the listing page or at check out.

I've suggested many times before to eBay that they should keep the icons on the listing/checkout but gray them out and/or have a memo that says "temporarily unavailable" to avoid confusion and panic....but apparently eBay isn't interested in saving themselves the headache of being flooded with customer service calls and messages asking why PayPal is no longer an option. 😉

Hope it is resolved soon, I have not tried to buy today but if PP is gone, I am GONE. I am more concerned about the realy poorly executed item display screen from  search results. IT IS WORTHLESS for viewing  details of an item listing.  Another misguided "improvement" of the buyer experience.

There appeared to be a temporary issue with PayPal that was preventing that option from working at checkout. But users are reporting that it is working again.
