Caught EBAY including a SOLD item in my relists

brian@ebay  The blues have wanted examples when eBay includes a sold item in our unsolds.  I caught this one during a batch relist, and only because I had sold it recently AND given a partial refund because it was damaged by the shipper.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/183492817173

This has GOT to be fixed.  I've been clipped 3 times since August, and I'm getting really tired for being "out of stock" due to an EBAY error.

Hi @dtexley3, I've looked into this situation and found that the sold item did not go to the Unsold section. I'll do my best to explain what occurred.

Item 183432865436 was listed on September 14th and ended without a sale on October 14th. Since it did not sell it was sent to the Unsold section. A relist from this item happened on October 18th and the new item number was 183492817173. This item ended November 17th. Since it did not sell it was sent to the Unsold section. This is the item you mentioned in your example and I can confirm that it did not sell either time it was listed. What actually happened if that you had a duplicate listing on the site.

Item 183434324505 was relisted from 183432865436 on September 14th and ended the same day within a few minutes. The reason selected when this item was manually ended was "No longer available". I assume this was an accidental relist, which is why you ended it within a few minutes of it being listed on the site. Since this listing was ended and did not sell, it was sent to the Unsold section. This is where the continued duplicate relistings started.

From the Unsold section this was relisted as 183446945419 on September 21 and naturally ended October 21. It didn't sell so it was sent to the Unsold section. This was relisted as 183502278350 on October 25 and sold on November 13. This was sent to the Sold section.

Hopefully this explanation makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions!
