Ebay programmers are at it again. The summary page shopping cart icon is again displaying a quantity equal to one's most recent purchase WHEN EMPTY! YOU CANNOT get rid of it. It even survives browser aborts, logouts, and every other work around that worked last time they fouled it up 2 or 3 years ago. Hover over the icon and it says your cart is empty start shopping, although there is a RED number that indicates contents! I am about to quit shopping entirely on ebay forever. They NEVER can do a simple change to a line of computer code and NOT screw up something else in the process!!

In the past I have been able to get rid of a phantom cart number by adding a new item to the cart, opening the cart and then removing the item.
The cart seems to work most reliably when kept empty until you are ready to actually make a purchase.

That worked last time, but it has no effect this round.
