Cannot view attachments in messages

I am no longer able to view attachments.

Until just recently when I received a message with an attachment I would simply click on the thumbnail and it would expand and fill the screen. All of a sudden I can no longer expand the image! I can see a thumbnail of the attachment but when I click on it nothing happens! 

It's very frustrating, if any kind soul out there can help resolve this I would be extremely grateful

What browser are you using?

Do you have the same problem if you use a different browser?

Does the problem depend on the type of attachment?

I am using Chrome, I just tried with Safari and have the same problem.

The problem is with attached JPEG's

Unfortunately I have not used a Mac in a while, so I do not know what sort or issue you may be running into with messages or attachments.

Just tried Firefox and everything is fine! - wierd
