Cannot empty eBay's message TRASH folder

I don't know if I'm missing something, but I cannot empty the TRASH folder in messages. If it is indeed possible, it sure isn't intuitive.

eBay handles emptying the Trash folder and deleting messages; eBay typically deletes messages from your inbox after about three months, regardless of the location.

Just think of the Trash folder as a handy spot to stash unwanted messages so you can organize your inbox.
