Cannot connect

Well here we are again.  “cannot find a secure path to server”.  I can’t log out or search for anything.  I see this has been on going from 2017, 2018, 2019 and now it is May of 2022.  I am using an iPhone 13, Safari and google chrome.  I am getting put out by technical issues ongoing for over 5 years.  I had no problem getting on yesterday and today forget shopping on eBay.

If I had to guess, I would suspect you have a router or ISP problem.    Otherwise, we would have seen many reports such as yours.   This is the first of its kind I have seen and I have never had the issue you are reporting in 19 years of being on ebay almost every day.

The "secure path to server" sounds like an app error. Make sure you have the latest version of the eBay app for your operating system.

If the problem is related to the eBay app, you should still be able to reach eBay using a browser.

One possible issue might be that eBay browser links are set to open in the app automatically. If that is happening to you, you should be able to tap and hold an eBay link in your browser and choose "don't open in the eBay app" or something similar to that. Then eBay browser links should open in the browser rather than the app. If the problem is limited to the app, that may allow you to use eBay in your browser.

I have had multiple days of being unable to sign out of eBay?!?  I'm on a laptop, using Edge and have cleared cache/cookies.  I've tried to find anyone else having this issue and this was the closest complaint that I could find.

You should be able to sign out of eBay by erasing your eBay cookies and closing your browser.

If you are using a shared machine and are concerned about signing out, you may want to use a private or incognito browser window to sign in to eBay; that way when you close your browser there are no traces of your session left behind.

@eburtonlab   Thanks for your advice.  No, I'm not on a shared computer so I guess I don't have to worry about the sign out.  I just prefer to sign out of eBay so I'm not more vulnerable to hacking.  I'll just clear cache/cookies every time I want to sign out since that worked but only the one time.  I'm elderly and not very tech savvy.  Thanks again for your help!!!
