I received a counteroffer of $65 on a $79.95 item, but ended up having to pay the full price because it wouldn't let me accept the counteroffer. When I click on "Review Offer" the "Make Offer" window opens with a red arrow pointing to an empty rectangle. When I type in the counteroffer price, it says I can't make another offer until the current one expires.
When I tried to explain to ebay customer service that I just overpaid by $14.95, I was told there's no computer glitch even though it's on all items where I receive counteroffers. Man, how frustrating.

Usually you make an offer and teh seller comes back with a counter offer and you just click the ACCEPT box. Not sure what went wrong there.

Just claify the discussion, you are the buyer trying to accept a counter-offer from a seller.
When you click on the Review Offer to review and possibly accept the offer you are getting the Make Offer screen, correct?
Lots of bugs being introduced lately.

That's correct. It's impossible to accept the counteroffer. The Make Offer box pops up and the only way I can buy the item is to purchase it for the original price.

I would have messaged the seller about the issue instead of paying full price. Most sellers will be happy to figure out a workaround such as edit the listing, or sending an offer via messaging to get around the problem.
I'm not surprised eBay didn't help, they got more FVF this way and still expect the buyer and seller to "work it out".
You might try messaging the seller and see if you can work something out, or you could just them to cancel and relist it so you can purchase at the agreed upon price.

I attached a message when I paid. I just hope it all works out. I'll keep using ebay to buy rare items I can only get on ebay, but when I make it back to the USA and open my store, I'll definitely be using Shopify or some other platform. I don't want my customers to have to deal with ebay's customer service. I'd rather them just deal with me exclusively so things can go smoothly.
