Can't verify address to sell

I'm trying to sell an item and the system is asking me to verify my address.  My account has my PO Box address, since the USPS does NOT deliver mail to my rural address.  When I try to verify the PO Box it says "invalid address."  It won't let me enter my physical address because it is not a registered USPS address.  So.....what next?  I can't get past this verification to post my item.

Re: Can't verify address to sell

If what you have is a PO box at a USPS facility, it is a perfectly legal address just like 123 4th St would be if you had mail delivery to your house.

Don't know exactly what to tell you, but I'd start with asking my local Postmaster why your PO box is not a registered USPS address.

Another possibility: Is your eBay address on your account exactly the same?

What address is on your Drivers License? Pretty sure it's not a PO Box, right.

Maybe we should ask the OP if he gets mail regularly delivered to his PO box.

I was asking that because almost ALL 50 states require a "Physical Address" to be on on a residents Drivers Licenses. You cannot have a PO Box as your primary residence, since no one resides at a PO Box. What's required is a "Physical Residential Address" as it's worded, written in the Statutes.

If OP here is living on a rural plot of land that has structure to it that they are "Residing" in, their "Physical Residence", and it's not registered at their local Post Office as their Primary Residence to receive mail at, then that's on OP.

Re: Can't verify address to sell

That's strange. I know some people that live on their mining claim in the middle of the Nevada desert. They just have a mailbox out on the highway near the dirt road that they use to access their claim. The address shows as "State Route (insert here) mile marker (insert here)."

I never asked them how they set that up with the PO but they obviously did somehow.

I know a couple of others that live in the boonies in central Idaho (think land line telephone wires actually tacked up to trees instead of power poles). Same thing, mailbox out on the nearest highway.

Others that live on a lake in Oregon with no road access. Their mail is delivered to a mailbox on their dock by boat.

It seems as if you just don't want to give eBay your actual location for whatever reason.
