Can't upload photos in listing form starting 4/4/2024

Starting on Thursday, April 4, I have been unable to upload photos in the listing form for new listings. Shortly before that uploading photos worked normally. When it stopped working, I tried several more times to upload the photos to the form with no success. I thought that perhaps it is a glitch that will resolve shortly. I tried again today and have continued to have no success in adding photos to drafts of new listings. I tried adding just one photo instead of several but it made no difference. The photos will not upload. I am not doing anything differently than usual. The photos are the usual file size and dimensions. I am at a loss as to what to do to correct this. I recall this happened once before a few months ago but the problem resolved itself within days. So far it is a no go.

@imajgin  what browser are you using? Do you have the new layout for pictures in the listing form?

eBay appears to be making some changes to the listing tool, specifically ones involving images, so I'm wondering if that might be causing a glitch or error preventing you from uploading pictures.

I cleared my history for the last 2 days and restarted my computer (a MacBook Pro) and went back to the my draft listings. Now the photos are uploading okay. My browser is Safari. So problem is solved. I am not deleting my first post as my solution may work for someone else. I am aware that clearing history can solve some problems like this. But it has been so long since I've had to do that that I didn't think that it would be the solution.

This is maddening! Since I posted that  last post about clearing my history and restarting my computer, I have since had the same problem recur when I went to upload photos to another new listing. So I cleared my history again and was able to upload photos. Then went to upload photos to another new listing and had the problem happen again!! Currently it appears that I have to clear my history before uploading new photos to new listings or they won't upload. And with the last one I have not succeeded in getting them to upload even after clearing my history. This is truly maddening!

I was able finally to upload photos to a draft listing with no problem by using my iPad to do the upload. The upload was easy and fast. Currently I will deal with this problem by starting the drafts on my desktop computer and then upload the photos to the drafts from my iPad. Not a perfect solution but at least I can complete our listings.

As of today, April 7, I am able to upload photos from my desktop computer on new listings normally with no problem. I have no idea why I wasn't 'able to do so on the 4th or the 5th of April. Or who corrected it. Sometimes I wonder if a glitch like this has something to do with the volume of listings being created throughout the ebay system. If things just don't work sometimes when there is so much activity that ebay just can't handle it. The glitches have been happening in the later part of the day when I would guess that the number of listings being created are at their highest level of the day.

is this an on going problem because now its September and my uploads i have  a work around butit take too long to make a listing it' s been a week or more and I need to get stuff up for sale

Lately I have had no problem in uploading my photos into the listing form from my laptop. For a while I was only able to upload them one at a time so if I had 24 photos it would take me a while to get them uploaded. But now whatever number I have can be uploaded. Tho it wouldn't surprise me if the problem happened again if ebay was very busy with sellers creating new listings. Currently the uploads are working for me.
