Can't send photos to customer via ebay messages NEW GLITCH?

For the 1st time ever I am trying to send added photos to a potential buyer via ebay messages and I can't because I get a ebay generated pop up message stating---- "In order to send your photos, your recipient needs to be able to receive HTML-formatted emails from eBay. This can be changed in communications preferences in the account settings section in My eBay." Is this a new glitch and I thought we were all done with HTML code here? Am I missing something?

That happened to me before.

I just simply put the pix into the listing not wanting to waste more time on it.

Not a big thing & then emailed the buyer to look for the pix in listing.

I think the problem may be that your customer has set up their eBay account to receive text-only emails. Theoretically they should be able to see the photos using eBay messages rather than email, though. But it appears that the setting in their account prevents you from sending those photos at all.

The setting in question is apparently in the Communications preferences of the user's account, under "Notification Delivery Format" Preferred format (choose either html/graphics or text-only).

If you let the user know that the setting is preventing you from sending the photos, they might be able to change it and allow the message and photos to go through.

I already thought of that and just tried to but ALL MY PICTURES ARE GONE on the REVISE LISTING PAGE. Completely blank white section where all my photos should be? what the heck is going on?

Thank You, I have messaged him notifying him of this, although the message is not clearly worded and the way it is written it implies that I must change the setting which makes no sense. My bigger problem now is I tried to REVISE my listing and add the photo he was looking for and ALL MY PHOTOS ARE GONE, just a large blank white section in the middle of the listing form where my photos should be? this is more worrisome for me?
