Can't sell because ebay won't add photos. Photos are JPEG format, on a Mac.

i created several drafts but ebay won't post my listings because ebay system won't add my photos. (i only have ONE photo for each listing.) i use a macbook and my photos are in jpeg format. I CANNOT SELL IF PHOTOS CANNOT BE ADDED. this is very important because  I CANNOT SELL IF PHOTOS CANNOT BE ADDED!!   I CANNOT SELL IF PHOTOS CANNOT BE ADDED.!!! it's not my computer. don't say that. i can post photos ANYWHERE except ebay. i've been selling on ebay for 20 years without any problem adding a photo.  I CANNOT SELL IF PHOTOS CANNOT BE ADDED.

Is there an error message? Have you tried to do it on another device?

Check you are using the correct sizes etc

How long has it been since you ran your malware and virus scans?  Cleaned up the computer?     Start at the beginning, not at eBay

Chances are the photos are either too small or too large, or possibly that you have a browser add-on that's interfering with the process. We would need more info about what kind of error you're seeing to offer specific advice @seniorpackrat.

Try using Chrome to add your photos.

I use Safari every day for listing. I'm using it right now. No photo issues now or in recent (past couple years) history. 🤷‍

5-6 months ago there was a Safari update.  

I haven't been able to use Safari for photos since.

Which MAC OS ar eyou using?

I have had the same issue using Mojave since late last fall.

Many people had the issue using Mojave.

I no longer have the issue using Monterey.

I'm using Safari 15.0, fully up to date and OS Big Sur 11.6.

I wonder if it has to do with your browser settings @kare-bearb? Whatever the cause, that really stinks. Sorry to hear it.

You don't use Last Pass, do you? I've heard about that password manager add-on creating tons of issues with eBay (and other sites) functionality.

Ah, so the issue had to do with the combination of the browser and OS you were using. Thanks for that added info. It's good info to file away so we can help others with this issue.
