Can’t revise greeting card shipping to the new option

The new option in the greeting card category for shipping went into effect yesterday. I have been trying since then to revise the shipping on my listings with no luck. Was on live chat for maybe a good 45 minutes this evening still no luck. They suggested several good ideas but none of them worked. Could too many sellers be trying to revise their listings to this option at the same time? Just a thought. Trying to figure out the problem. For now I deleted my greeting card listings.

Other users updating shipping has no effect on what you are doing.

Check the dimensions you are using when selecting the ESE shipping option

Also check what category you are listing in...this can be a factor.

eBay Standard Envelope 

Envelope requirements

To use the service, it's important to ensure your envelope meets the below criteria. If it doesn't, the shipment may be returned to you, or the buyer may receive the item with postage due.

• No smaller than 3.5” x 5”
• No larger than 6.125” x 11.5”
• Envelope thickness is uniform, less than 0.25” inches at all points, and not too rigid
• Weighs up to 3 oz.
• Envelope contains NO clasps/strings/buttons or similar closure devices
• Envelope has recipient address parallel to the longest side
• Envelope is NOT enclosed or made of any plastic material

I would guess that the ESE option is only available in specific categories.......even tho Greeting cards could logically be listed in several categories........

It will only help for the people that come to the boards and can find the topic..... IF they ever give us the category.......  I applaud your effort.....but  half baked effort at something good.......

Why they (someone) doesn't think to add it to the help pages..........or at least put it in the announcement I'll never know........  But maybe they don't realize the breadth of category possibilities.....

Yes it would be a great help. Trial and error is exhausting. Also curious why by category at all. Why not if it fits and correct weight it goes??

just a suggestion.........but from experience.........forget asking the team a second time..........ask the exec in charge of the team............  it does work.........
