If you are using any special characters in your reply, try removing those.

I have seen a post from a user that was getting that error when attempting to send a message who said that the message was able to go through once an equals sign was removed from the message text.

Possibly just a coincidence, but worth a try.

No special characters other than periods at the end of sentences.

Which it’s working now.  I guess just EBay being incompetent with maintenance again.

Same here, been happening for a week now. 

I'll get the error trying to reply to customer messages or even approving returns.

"You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/rtn/Return/MarkItemShipped" on this server."

Sould be an s in the http part like https

folks to aid in such maters, one needs to list browser used etc.

If this is an ebay tech issue such would help the techs.
