Can't get verified, too many redirects, and customer service is of no help...

Ok, here’s my problem…

I have not sold anything since 2019. Have had an account in good standing and with no negative reviews since 2000. When I logged on last weekend to sell something, they said I needed to be verified (My understanding is eBay took over processing payments and you need a government ID and a bank account now).

I uploaded the documents, and it came back a few hours later saying unable to verify. But it doesn’t tell me what is wrong. I contacted eBay and the guy told me to change some of my information. I resubmitted and it cam back unable to verify. I tried a 3rd time, and now it won’t even go to the right page. I keep getting “too many redirects” error.

I am a web developer and I understand what this error is. I have cleared caches, restarted computers, cleared network caches, tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, all in private or incognito mode. I have tried 4 different computers, both mac and pc on different networks. My friend across town on his PC tried and got the same result.

The worst of it is, that custome service has been nothing but infuriating. I can’t get them to even understand the problem. It takes them 24 hours to respond and then they just keep saying: Try a different browser in Incognito mode. Very angry making. I have up loaded documents to them and nothing makes a difference. It's as if they don't even read what I write.

I can’t get verified, and I can’t get anybody to help who is understanding the issue. I really need eBay to work for me. I feel lost.

If you have any insight that would really help, or can get me in touch with someone who can actually help me, that would be great.

Does the information on your Ebay account match exactly with the information of your checking account and everything else you've submitted?

Make sure everything matches exactly on your eBay account with your bank account. 

Exactly.

John W Smith does not match John Smith

Address should match exactly.

1234 Tree St does not match 1234 Tree Ave or 1234 Tree

Probably be good if your drivers license matched as well.

That is all I can think of to tell you. Make sure every document matches.

They probably don't have nearly enough employees working the account verification.  Could be 6 or 12 people in that department(who knows?) That are verifying 10's of thousands of accounts weekly.

I appreciate the responses but I am very frustrated. People are misunderstanding the problem.

I can't get to the screen to submit the information. 

I have tried:

• 3 different networks, WIFI and cellular.
• I have tried Firefox, Chrome, and Safari
• I have restarted, cleared all cookies and caches both local and network.
• I have tried private and incognito mode
• I have tried the EBay app.
• I have tried mac and pc that are not on the same network.
• Customer service keeps telling me to use incognito window - every time I respond and tell them I have done that many times but they don't seem to listen.
• I have been working on this for 6 days.

I can't get to the screen to upload my drivers license pictures. It goes "too many redirects". The issue is, when I click to get verified, it goes in an endless loop and too many redirects.

Please no one tell me to clear caches or try incognito mode. I have been doing that for days - many computers, many networks. Also please don't tell me that my info needs to match. I know this. When I try no matter what computer or what browser --- this happens:

For the record Ebay never solved my problem and quit responding to me completely. I am filing a lawsuit against Ebay here in Portland Oregon. Many have done it and won, usually by default.

This is what happens with monopolies. They don't care and pay as little as possible for customer support in foreign countries. Everyone loses included the grossly underpaid customer support folks around the globe.
