Can't Delete "Sent" Messages

In the Messages section of My Ebay I have a long list of messages I've sent that are now obsolete and I'm trying to delete them. Batch delete won't work even though there is a box to check that includes all of them on a page. It does not work and I get a "try again later" message. 

I can individually check off and delete a few (like 4) to begin with but nothing after that. The ubiquitous "try again later" message.

"Later" doesn't work either. Come on, Ebay, let's get this fixed. It's been like that for months if not longer.

By the way, this happens when I'm using my desktop computer and Chrome. It also happens when I'm I'm using my Android tablet. So it's not operating system specific.

If you are looking for a workaround, try creating a new folder and moving those messages to the folder. Then, if you want, you should be able to delete the entire folder, or else rename the folder trash2 and use that to store your unwanted messages.

That way at least you can still organize your Sent folder the way you want while waiting for eBay to fix the problems with the message system.
