Can a reinstated item, that was previous removed, be reactivated with all sales history too?

When an item is reinstated after being removed, is it possible to have all the selling history of the item reapplied? We had a listing that was removed due to an eBay error. After questioning the removal it was clear that eBay removed our item in error so they said that they would reinstate the removed item. But their "reinstament" is really a new listing since it now has 0 sales history when it previously had a couple hundred, oh and, and now it has a different ID #. Is there a dept that can do a "true" reinstatement - with sales history and all?

Not as far as I know.........I did see some "statements" attributed to ebay CS that the "new" listing carries some history on a hidden basis to help in seach placement.......but of course, no way to tell.
