Calling ebay by phone

I used to have a phone number I could use to actually call ebay when I had an issue I couldn't deal with another way, but I've lost it.  Does anyone have a phone number for ebay they can share with me?

eBay no longer has such a number for general customer support.

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.

Either contact them through Twitter or Facebook.

But, are you aware that many of the issues encountered on eBay can be addressed without actual phone contact?

Apparently it's a big secret, I've heard sellers that have anchor stores have a phone number for ebay, but can't disclose it....very weird
