Just adding ,,,,,,,,I have the same problem & it has been forever. I've been able to get it close to calculating by weight correctly. But from time to time it just adds each item as per each rather than combining the item weights, no matter what the calculated setting is. Sad thing is it is hit and miss - sometimes it works , sometimes it doesn't. And a real turn off when International buyers see the huge variances ..... most just don't bother and move on.
CS has told me that the issue is that I am offering combined shipping and combined payments - so that is confusing the system ...........(insert laugh track <here>)
This is where it might be helpful if the Request Total tab actually worked instead of giving users the message :
"You can't request a total because the seller has already offered a discount for these items"
Or that the shipping calculator worked on multiples instead of glitching back to item description - NOT that the total would be right - just saying it might stop ALL or some of the issues if that was corrected ...
