I had 2 customers make purchases from me this week claiming identical issues when they try to checkout.

They both messaged me something along the lines of: "Im sorry but I keep trying to pay and I get an error message because the card is in a vault."

These are both purchasers with 100% positive reviews and decent track record so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt here. Anyone else having this issue with eBay Vault?

All buyers will have 100% positive feedback, that's all they can get.

An update from eBay customer service... apparently eBay is now requiring certain buyers to be enrolled in the eBay Vault program to make purchases from the Vault even if they intend on shipping to their address. I haven't been having this issue until this week but apparently this policy has been in place for a while for certain buyers. Doesn't make any sense to me.

I guess the buyers need to accept the terms and conditions for eBay to pack and ship the cards to them.

Maybe there is some higher level of vetting that goes on for buyers of Vault items... trying to minimize the number of fake damage or empty-box claims, perhaps...? Just a guess.

I have bought an item from a Ebay Seller but am not able to pay for it. Neither with Visa nor with Paypal.
When using the VISA I get an error message which says

"You need to update your account details to securely use the eBay vault. If you're seeing this notice after you've updated your info, contact us for further assistance"

" To update your info: Go to My eBay > Selling"

When trying to use Paypal it just throws another error message. So I reached out to support and after being thrown around different "specialists", I finally found out that the problem persists because I have a non US-address (which can't be changed). So basically I need to create a new profile with an address in US to be able to purchase items from Ebay Vault.

This information is not something that is available anywhere (to my knowledge). It should be included in a FAQ or be on the front page of the Ebay Vault section (as a user of Ebay Vault it is relevant to know, that you exclude all non US-buyers to purchase your items).
