So I had an item listed on eBay with a buy it now of $149.99. All of a sudden I get a notification it sold for $120.00. I had no best offer option so I was unsure what happened. I reached out to eBay and this was their response. I had to cancel the transaction and refund the buyers money. eBay was trying to tell me to send the buyer an invoice for the difference? This is not my problem but theirs.

Thank you for your patience Ken. I've looked into it and it looks like there's a technical problem with our site right now as we received the same scenario with other sellers. I've forwarded your information to our technical team so that we can resolve it as soon as possible.

1st- try to ignore what you were told (long story);
Looking at your 'sold' items , you sold a Blue Tooth Speaker for $150 plus $9.99 shipping (would be $160 total)-
Did you use 'promotions'??
Is that amount after ebay take their fees?

No it was listed at $149.99 no coupons and discounts. Shows it sold for $120.00 and thats what ebay was paying out. I had to cancel and refund the buyer because of this. On the phone with ebay now.

Looks like the price was revised on Feb 9, are you sure you didn't do this?

I am not sure if that applies to you. I am having issues with price changes in the listings and price sticking in drafts on the web. When i change price on item and hit list, the new price would not be there. Price change only works in the application. Maybe you raised price from $120 to $140 but price didn’t take effect as for me and you didn’t notice?
