Business Shipping Policy Reassign Error "Please provide a valid Shipping Package type"

First of all, I am not new to eBay and do not want obvious wrong answers. 25 years here.
Please, just move on if you don't understand or can't help. And especially if you can't comprehend harnessing the power of Business Policies.

Has anyone who had this glitch ever figured it out?

1) Changed a bunch of shipping policies from Flat Rate shipping to Calculated(USPS changes to fast and randomly from zone to zone to extra rural zones)
2) Many listings worked as they should
3) Many listings had "Errors found"
4) "Activity log" under the failed  "Copy"  has these error statuses in the Excel download.

"Please provide a valid Shipping Package type."

Of course the Shipping Policy is correct.
The weight and dimensions are right.
Most changes worked but a bunch of items appear to be glitched.
There is nothing we can see wrong with them other than eBay stopped showing them to people. Go figure.

For example one policy, 49 worked but 6 did not.

There is nothing wrong with the 6. They are the same as the 49.
Another one 15 worked, 11 did not. Higher failure rate. No known reason.

so on.

I tested this maneuver on 4 selling accounts.
We sell a lot in multiple stores, some of you may be our customers. Hi!
Only one account of 4 has the glitched listings that won't update.

I can manually go into a failed listing and update the policy on an item level and it takes with no errors as if everything is fine, but that is not the answer.

The way eBay has been the last 10 years or so, I assume the listings are glitched on an item # level and would rather not do that for tons of listings one by one when you you are supposed to be able to reassign policies with the click of a button. We do note that features GUI did change for the worst recently as most GUI's on the site are doing.

I would rather find out why eBay is treating these listings as if they are invalid when they are not.

So as it stands tons of listings have an imaginary "Shipping Package type" missing or invalid. Only on one account. Happens to be the same account always running into this "We couldn’t send 1 offer due to an unexpected error. Please try again later."

Any ideas or similar experiences?

Thanks!

Business Shipping Policy Reassign Error "Please provide a valid Shipping Package type"

I am having the same issues. My shipping policy, which I did not create and cannot change, automatically offers free shipping. I opened a ticket with eBay on Saturday and was told it would be fixed by today. Meanwhile I have heard nothing and my store has been on time away.

If one-by-one works as expected, then the Bulk Editor may as well. On the business policies page scroll down to those Policy Name (copy) error entries and click the See 6 listings link at the end of the row. Then go Edit > Edit all 6 listings > let the new page load > check the box for select all > click Bulk edit > Shipping policy and follow the prompts.

Is this a new shipping policy that has appeared alongside your existing ones @amazingelenarose, or is it new because previously you were not opted in to Business Policies at all? My suggestion boils down to the same thing either way – try opting out of Business Policies altogether and see if that resets things for you. The reason I ask the question is I personally probably wouldn't trust any existing settings to be retained if you'd be opting back in right afterwards. If that's the case you may wish to manually back up your policies before opting out.
