I added a line to all of my 500+ listings re Christmas shipping. For days I have tried to remove it several times by copying and pasted into the "remove" box the sentence I'd added, and typing the replacement sentence into the "replace with" box. (This is using "Find and Replace" in the bulk listing function. ) It does not work. When I finish, a pop-up appears: 0 of your 571 drafts have been updated". These are NOT drafts, they are live listings. Help, please!

Same situation here! I don't see any responses to your problem, though 😞 I did read somewhere else that you have to enter all the HTML code into the "find" section. I've tried copying it and pasting it, but that does not work either. Please someone help!

Just chiming in to add to the chorus; same issue here.
I have not been able to find a workaround with html and, frankly, the time sunk into it would no be worth a cleaned-up listing at the moment.

Hi @landofthelostandfound2012 @foxwood-finery @harborvintagedoorcounty .
With the bulk editor, when you are using find and replace with HTML code you have to check the box "match in HTML source code" as pictured below.
Also note your characters have to be an exact match, so if there's any variation the listing won't update.
If you have more questions about bulk edit please @ tag me.

I had this issue a while back. At the time, this is how I made it work. Instead of just working with the one line you want to modify, you need to copy and paste the ENTIRE description in the FIND box. Then copy and paste it again to the REPLACE box, and modify the parts you want to edit.

That seems counter-productive as the entire purpose of bulk edit is to edit many listings at once, and for most sellers every listing is going to have a different item description with only a piece (like terms of service or something similar) that will be the same.
If you're going to copy/paste the entire description and edit parts of it that's easily done editing a single listing at a time.
That said - I do frequently include more than just the part I want to edit if my goal is to delete something.
For example, let's say your description says something (pulling from the original poster's problem) like:
Please allow extra time for delivery with holiday package volume and weather delays. Any questions, just ask! I usually respond within 24 hours.
And you want to remove the first sentence.
You can find:
Please allow extra time for delivery with holiday package volume and weather delays. Any
and replace with:
Any
Including those few extra characters helps when the goal is to eliminate rather than change text. As I said in my first response above, characters need to match exactly. So if some listings have 1 space between delays. Any and other listings have 2 spaces between delays. Any that means you'd have to do two bulk edits to successfully revise all of your listings.

I feel compelled to add:
Auctions with bids will not update.
Listings with open offers will not update.
