Bug Report - checkout refuses to load with "Error codes: 70245 70438 70169"

Please fix!  I am unable to buy!

I've already tried logging in and out, and clearing my cookies, and I tried using the .com instead of .com.au site - all with no luck.

I have not run into that error, but I did find a reference to the 70245 error -- take a look and see if any of the fixes apply to your situation:

Also call ebay and report the problems you are having. They may not be aware of the issue or need to add your account to the list of effected users. There have been issues with multiple purchases from international buyer. Perhaps try 1 item to see if the sale goes through. You may have to pay individual shipping for each item but most sellers will issue partial refunds through paypal for the difference in shipping cost. Since it is international you might want to message the seller first to make sure they will refund you for the difference in shipping cost.

I got the first two codes 70245 70438 when I tried to Go To Checkout, not even trying to buy. Eventually I found by trial and error that by removing a particular item, it would go to the checkout. So for some reason that item could not be purchased along with the rest. However it could be purchased separately, or at least could be checked out separately, I didn't actually buy it.

Then I put in a separate, unrelated item costing a dollar. Again this caused the same error. This was an item which had nearly run out. Maybe it had really run out and was actually unpurchasable. I could buy the same item for 22¢ more from another seller.

Ebay really needs to lift their game regarding error reporting. It's very frustrating finding these solutions by trial and error.

I indivudally purchased all the items that were not free shipping.  This reduced the errors down to this:-

I bought one item at a time, and eventually the error went away.

The item that was causing the problem was the only item that was shipping to me from my own country.
