Block banner ad, top of main Ebay home page

How might I block the Ebay homepage banner ad at the top of the page? Our family wants to do this given the new content there. If we can not do this, then we will bar family members from shopping Ebay...but prefer not to do this. Is there a way to block the Ebay homepage banner or at least extinguish it from view?

Bookmark a different page to land on?  I never or rarely get on eBay from the homepage.

So you don't type in www.ebay.com....but instead go to, for example, https://www.ebay.com/sh/ovw....a seller's overview. Did I get that right? Sounds like a good idea! Thank you. I'll bypass their messaging/marketing altogether in that way.

Exactly.  I land on "My eBay" and open a second page on this here community. 

I will check the home page for promotions and sales.  But not every time I logon.  😁

I never could understand why advertisers push their ads into our lives at every turn, then we in turn have to spend so much time trying to avoid them. 

Seems really counterproductive.
