Automatic Relist Missing

Has Anyone had an issue with the automatic relisting for free 8 times box disappearing? It was checked on all of my listings and now the entire box is gone even with brand new listings. Chatted with eBay customer service and the guy had no clue what I was talking about wasted 45 minutes so I figured I would check if it is an ongoing error.

This problem has already been discussed on several threads to no definite conclusion. eBay seems to be making the 8 relists for auctions available to select sellers in a random manner. An eBay CS has told several users that this perk is available only to new sellers to help them get going, but we have seen long-standing sellers get it too. My guess is it's controlled by an eBay bot that looks at your current and past sales history and decides if you get it or keep it. Your recent sales have been good so perhaps the bot has decided you no longer need help. It really seems to be a hit-and-miss thing.

This is not true, this is available to all sellers that do not have a business account

Automatic relists are free for all non-business sellers except for listings in the eBay Vehicles categories.

Ebay CS just told me that the box is now removed and the listings will automatically relist 8 times

I message Ebay support they they confirmed the auto relisting has been removed.  If your item doesn't sell you will have to manually relist and it will eat away at your free insert total.  They are basically trying to force sellers to either buyer a higher priced store package or just pay the insertion fee to put up more items.  I don't plan on doing either.  I plan on shifting my sales to another platform that doesn't constantly shift the product for users WITHOUT TELLING THEM to make a few extra dollars.  I guess they figure its 0.25 cents and sellers will just eat the cost.

Some of The relists issues are with power buyers who were just switched to managed payments. Me and a few others don't get our free relists anymore

I too now have this issue of the automatic relist feature going away. Makes no sense to me as with this feature I have more items listed at any one time which means more SALES fees for eBay as opposed to a smaller relist fee from the seller.

I noticed this last week however when you search ebay it's still says automatically relists 8 times. I was just telling someone how nice this feature is.....makes no sense they make more money if they keep them listed I would think..

Has anyone received more clarity on this issue?  Mine recently disappeared after years of having it?

The response I received from customer service was..."Thank you for waiting. Upon checking here, for the automatic relist for auction style listings, it will only be applicable to new sellers and casual sellers. In your case, it would not apply anymore."  After asking what a casual seller was considered I received this response..."I understand that and for this if you have already selling for more than 90 days and have had 25 transactions, you are considered as a established seller."  

Which I was having at least 1 transaction a day for the last two years, and even before that well over 25 transactions (at least 2000 over the last 15 years)

I found there are two different listing forms.   

1. A multi-page default listing form with help steps that assume you are a total moron.  There is no mention of the Auto relist on this one, but it does it.

2. Once you join Sellers Hub, your default will be a one page listing form.  There is indeed the box to check (a very small box in an obscure area)  to automatically relist up to 8 times.

When I switched to the Type 2 form, I didn't notice the box and was confused when my listings ended after a week.   Another seller advised me.

A tip -  When you load in an existing listing to revise,  it does tell you how many weeks you have left on that listing.   

It seems to me that eBay enacted this policy since it takes 9 weeks in their system to get the same results that one week once provided in the old days!   If they eliminated this option, and / or the free listings I'm gone!  My sales would not be viable with a 35 cent listing fee for one week.

Yes, yesterday it was there, today it is not.  Ebay seems to always find another way to **bleep**-off sellers.  Simple solution - stop listing.

I had the same issue last Sunday night. In excess of 100 items did not relist. I had an online chat with an ebay rep who said this option only works in the Seller Hub. Guess what, I have been using the Seller Hub for years. Waste of my time. I then rang ebay this afternoon and the rep did not seem to know what I was talking about. He kept asking me to tell him what the problem was. I asked him to get me someone else that could help me. Phone disconnected. Finally a supervisor rang me and could see that the check box to automatically relist items had gone. He asked me if I had made changes to my account which I have not. He is escalating the issue and said he will call me next week. Hopefully this is resolved. I told him I am reluctant to list anything while this issue continues and a resolution can be found. Very annoying
