Seems like at every 3rd post I make I get this message. Just started a few days ago.

You've been lucky, then. Many of us have been dealing with it for weeks or months. eBay staff assure us that their colleagues at Lithium/Khoros re aware of it and working on a fix.

Received the same message, after typing up a helpful response to someone, which was thorough and I did not save it. Oh, well...c'est la vie...

If you click the back button or the return key you get back to your post.

Saved drafts of messages can be found on your Community profile page, down at the bottom.
If you notice the "Authentication Failure" red band before you submit your post, you can usually open any community page in another browser tab and reload or sign back in, and then return to your message in the other tab and submit it. It might be a good idea to copy your text to the clipboard before posting, just in case.

Thanks to both of you for the helpful answer! I am having a hard time, overall, with the speed of moving from page to page, experiencing a slow-down and I have the fastest internet access. Hmm. At any rate, good to know for next time! PW

Yes, for me and many others it's been happening for months (and reported months ago).
It would be nice if this could be fixed before 2020.

When this error happens I usually have log back into community then go to my community profile and scroll down to drafts to pull up my response that was typed at the moment I got logged out of the community. Just a little while ago I got the error and was signed out. When I went to my community profile just above the draft section I noticed something really weird in the Private statistics section. At the end of this section it shows the browsers used to access community. In this section there were 5 different browsers listed. Out of the 5 actually only have 2 of the browsers Chrome and Edge. I mainly use Chrome for international shipping labels and do not use it to access community to often. It would appear that for some reason someone has been going into my account on the community forums and using browsers other than the browser I use. I spoke with a ebay rep and she said that they would only be using chrome to access a users account.
Has any other user that has gotten the authentication error actually checked and looked at this information. I recently seen a blue actually acknowledge the issue but the rep said they can not figure out what is causing the problem. For a long time I have thought the issue seamed like admins on eBay's end accessing the profile and bumping users out of their account. Although since these browsers listed are those that a eBay support rep would use this does seam like it could be a bigger security issue.
I took a screen shot of the browsers ebay says I have used to access the forum. I used red boxes to highlight the browsers I do not use and green to highlight the 2 browsers I actually have however chrome is not a browser I would normally use for the forums but there could be a possibility that I used chrome as I do not know how long this data is saved for.

It probably lists all the browsers you have used. It would show some other IP address if someone else accessed your account I would think.

I am on a win 10 laptop so there is no way a apple based browser should be listed like safari or what ever the apple web kit that is listed. I have not used Mozilla for close to 4 years since XP was dropped from MS support and I moved from a XP tower to my laptop. The XP tower is sitting on my desk unplugged and there is no way that could have been used recently. It appears from this list that there has been access by browsers other than I would use and could be pointing to why the log outs are occurring. I was just curious if others have checked this information and noticed a similar pattern.
As I said I mainly access the forums using edge and you would think that would be higher in the list and that the list should not include so many browsers I do not use and that according to eBay support they do not use.

also in the past when I used Mozilla it was on a XP tower and this looks like a win 10 64 bit machine. plus when I was using Mozilla I do not recall using the forums.
