9/14 I had a return request for a sold item. I think it went through ebay international shipping program. I authorized a return, and within minutes, ebay issued an UNauthorized refund without issuing a returned shipping lable or anything. Now I am fighting to either get my item back or return the money to my account. Ebay says it was me that issued the refund. Not true. I understand how the system works.
Anyone else had this. I spoke to paypal about it (much better customer service over there BTW), and they said they had 13 other similar issues during that time frame with Ebay.

Ebay approved a return request after I had told the buyer he could not return the item (per my very clear listing return policy). Ebay then denied approving the return against my wishes. My email communication w/ the buyer clearly showed that I denied his request to return item. In subsequent phone conversations w/ ebay cust. service, they (spoke w/ three different agents) all maintained that I myself must have "unknowingly" or "mistakenly" approved the the return. I am 100% certain that I did no such thing. I do not know how frequently ebay does this type of thing. Maybe other sellers have/will come forward with similar experiences. It appears ebay will go to great lengths to force sellers to accept returns -- even if it blatently violates the sellers stated return policy.
