Anybody else having trouble with checkout not loading to Pay Pal?

All day I have been trying to pay for an ebay item and from the checkout page, it won't advance to the Pay Pal page. Hope this is just a glitch in the system!

Having same problem here.  None of the imbedded links work.  Had to pay for item through paypal outside of ebay to complete transaction.  This has been going on for 3 days for me.  Customer service was of no help at all.

If you are using a combination of Windows 10, Firefox and uBlock Origin, you may be experiencing similar issues to others recently within the eBay community, with links not working correctly?

It is certainly worth checking that there isn't a Pop-ups Blocker setting in your browser preventing access to PayPal though.

I have this problem too. I also have uBlock installed on FF. Will whitelist ebay.com.au and try again.

Re: Anybody else having trouble with checkout not loading to Pay Pal?

So far the problem is really odd, with little help  from Ebay or PP customer service, as in they have a script for  certain issues concerning the hour glass ( pending ) and $ symbol , paid.. I have used PP for  18 years and never had  an hour glass ( pending)  on a  sale..   In short , the money is taken out of my bank account , and is available to the seller, but the seller does not receive the $ symbol for paid, and cannot retrieve the money , even if my account reads money available to the seller. Okay , the pending money is then refunded back to my bank as is PP's new policy , not put into PP available funds, and  is done in less than 24 hours ,  without prompting from me or the seller, it is automatically cancelled out , but reads on my Ebay account as order is  active, as in no orders cancelled , no invoices unpaid...How can a seller  accept payment , when payment is not being shown to them  to  access the dang money . The standard help script  does not apply , seller is new, or has not confirmed their email. I have had to deal with sellers scratching their heads as to the issue , with no resolve .  This is a drag,  I have 3 orders like this( in one week). My account info is current and correct , so what is happening ? Help ..

Re: Anybody else having trouble with checkout not loading to Pay Pal?

Same thing here. I purchase through PP then the money is taken out of my account , but the hourglass symbol remains, the seller is not give the okay , for I paid, so the money goes unaccepted , then the money is refunded back to my bank , in very short order( 24) hours, which is weird , but the sale remains active , with no unpaid invoices or cancellations on my ebay purchases history page.. Hello , Glitches, where are the people who run this show, where are the people dealing with the programmers who then can inform the customers.. HELP...

@earlsgirl*5

If it was just one seller, i would be inclined to say the problem is on the seller's end, but if the problem is happening with your last three different veteran US sellers, that sounds more like an issue between paypal and your bank. It sounds like you have a bank account connected to your Paypal account. Any other payment methods connected to paypal -- credit cards, debit cards? That would give you a potential alternative payment source and allow you to rule out an issue with that bank. Can you move funds from your bank to your paypal balance, and then pay using that balance?

If the sellers are using "immediate payment required", then I don't think the transaction "counts" until the money changes hands, so there would be no unpaid item if the money doesn't actually go through.
