When using the advanced search function, including the Boolean "-" operator to exclude search items, and when excluding a large list of sellers, the search fails and I have been getting this error message:
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Reference #7.9fdff748.1739494881.921cdfe
https://errors.edgesuite.net/7.9fdff748.1739494881.921cdfe
This happens in both Chrome and Edge, and with cache/cookies cleared.
Additionally the Item Location limiter does not properly work when trying to limit searches to a particular country. Sellers, predominantly from China, have their account actually listed as being in China, but list items for sale with a fraudulent local location instead (they actually ship from China), thereby skirting around the filters and in breach of the Ts and Cs. This renders the item location filter useless. It has been reported to eBay previously but no action has ever been taken.
With the massive influx of duplicate Chinese accounts flooding the market with identical product, over many multiple listings, the advanced search function and filters need to be working. Otherwise eBay is impossible to use and basically useless.

There are limits to the number of sellers that can be excluded from a search; more generally, there is a limit to the length of the entire search URL. The more excluded keywords and excluded sellers, the longer the search URL. At some point the URL becomes too long, and the various parameters cannot be evaluated correctly, leading to errors or empty results.
