Advanced Search Not Working Properly

I use the Advanced Search because my keywords for items I search for are saved there. Today when I check the box by Title and description under Advanced Search I get the message: We looked everywhere

If I uncheck that box then the search will work. I guess ebay has removed this function from the Advanced Search. It still works on the regular Search Bar before you go into Advanced Search. I don't use the regular Search Bar though anymore since ebay removed the option to have our keywords for items we search for remembered there.

Many thanks for the explanation of the heart listing icon. Why does it only appear sometimes when I search? It is not there most of the time.

If you are searching using the Advanced Search page and using the "search title and description" option you will receive an error. Try searching title only. Then, on the search results page, use the "include description" option that appears under the search button, then search again.

If you are using an old saved or bookmarked search and getting an error, you may be able to make the search work again. If the search URL starts with ebay.com/dsc/ change the /dsc/ to /sch/ instead and then hit enter to load the search again.

If you are having a different search problem, and if you want some suggestions, please provide a link to the search prior to getting the error message or describe the search you are doing including any keywords, category and filter options.

If a listing contains several variations, you will need to choose one of those variations via a drop-down menu in order to add that individual variation to your Watch List. Such variation listings have no heart icon in the search results. Only the non-variation listings will have heart icons in the search results.

If you do not see any heart icons at all, then perhaps your browser is blocking them for some reason, or the icon is not loading correctly. Try another browser to see if they appear then.

Actually, no, the problems have not been fixed.  There's a long list of things that remain broken when searching with Firefox.  It's apparent to me as someone that made a long career in software that whatever testing may have been done for the changes made by eBay on or about June 1 was significantly inadequate for the Firefox environment preferred by many users.   I'm having to re-build at least a dozen of my custom searches from the ground up and even when I do I'm still having to work around certain issues involving categories, newly listed/ending soonest,  etc.  Very disappointing.
