Account was randomly created then suspended in span of 20 minutes

I have a separate email address that has never been used for eBay purposes. For some reason while I was out the email address registered itself at 4:31 EST and then at 4:43 EST it was suspended. Is there someone I should contact? I don't really care that I can't use the email for eBay, I just want to know how this happened  as this seems like a security flaw or an internal backend error. Thanks

Often times it the email name itself.  Often times individuals will include the name "ebay" somewhere in the address. This is not allowed.   If this isn't the case, best to contact ebay.

Did you receive an email explaining why they suspended the account?

They might suspend this account also.
