The shopping cart seems to be working for me -- I can add and remove items as expected.
Do you have a purchased item in your cart that needs to be paid for? Check your purchase history. If you've committed to purchase an item, you may not be able to remove it from your cart until you pay.
Leaving items in your cart too long seems to cause problems for some folks. It's better to use your Watch List for keeping track of items long term.
If you can't remove the items from your cart, try to "Save for Later" instead. If you have the app on your phone, you might be able to remove or save items by swiping left or right.
If you still can't remove the items but need to make another purchase, you can try to purchase items individually directly from the item listing, bypassing the cart entirely (though you won't get the benefit of combined shipping discounts).
