50 Free Promotional Offers Counter Not Updating

Had 9 fixed price listings roll over yesterday afternoon, and promotional offers counter has not decremented to indicate any of the free 50 were used (still sitting at 50 available.)

There were no other promos in effect (and I checked the history views of those too). It's been 20 hours. I have 3 more rolling over in about 12 hours. Will be interested to see it it shakes loose.

If this affects anyone else I can already see the (rightfully so) howls that will ensue. I'm a micro seller, and haven't used any of this month's free 50 yet (there were earlier promos), so easy for me to keep track of my count, but others will be caught off guard. tyler@ebay

Same in Seller Hub overview and My eBay All Selling view, in multtiple Firefox browsers (3.624, 31, and 52), same in fresh instance with clear cookies and cache, in Opera 36, and on my phone in Opera Mini browser - it isn't a browser issue. (nor would I expect this type of problem to be - more of a backend database issue)

Noticed a couple of weeks ago that it took a few hours for the listing Promo counters to update after GTC rollovers also. (but updated normally when manually listing or relisting)

(I've actually run into an eBay bug that affects me. Who'd a thunk it?)

I assume you can look at the specifics of the item relists and see where they were "billed"?

don't know what special tools you may have available, but this little bookmarklet comes in handy for dealing with raw item numbers in forum posts, or anywhere* in the browser where they can be selected/highlighted such as emails, etc:

*does not work in eBay messages, or eBay forum post or PM editor fields - no selection text is detected (haven't figured out why but have some suspicions), but not too concerned since it's mostly a tool for easier listing inspection in community forum post contexts. (and works great when an item number in a browser based Yahoo email message is selected)

While I was dinking around composing this post, 3 (of 9 used) free listings have been deducted from the 50. There is a serious lag going on here - almost 24 hours and not all have shown up.

Update: all 9 free listing credits for those items have now been deducted from my free 50 monthly total.

Somewhere between 24 and 26 hours after those GTC listings rolled over. So not a total lack of them registering at all, but instead a severe lag in updating of the Promotional listings count.

Still happening. Counter is stuck at 11 used. 17 GTC listings rolled over 18 hours ago and have not registered as used free listings. (if previous batch is any indicator, they may be deducted from the count around 6 hours from now.)

40 hours after that latest batch of GTC listings rolled over and only 10 of the 17 have registered and have been deducted from the free 50 count.

Interestingly, I activated a free 200 listing promo last night before those last 10 registered and they were not deducted from the free 200 but from the monthly free 50 - which is as expected since they were used before the promo was activated.

So it appears that this is a lag in the updating of the user visible display of the promo listing count.

The lag does not involve manually relisted listings - just did 14 and they came right off the 200free promo. Guessing it also doesn't affect newly created listings - only GTC auto rollovers.


Addendum: Now, at 42 hours after the automatic relist of those GTC listings, the last 7 of them have been debited from the free 50 count.

I have 1 more ending in about 10 hours and one in about 30 hours. They SHOULD be taken oof the active 200 Promo, and it will be interesting to see if those also lag 24 to 42 hours before being deducted, and if they are taken off the promo count.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND FRUSTRATING.

All of the GTC shenanigans going on, and on top of them I now have to deal with a count that doesn't update until DAYS later. 

I not only have to keep an eye on when things are ending/renewing, but also on when/if the renewed items deduct from my free total.

INEXECSABLE, eBay. FIX THIS!

If eBay fixes the problem then they won't make as much money from the sellers who are not paying attention to their listing apparently that was what the GTC (got ya fee) was all about.
